Job description

We are currently seeking a Managing Consultant for our Technology/Contract team. As a Managing Consultant on the IT Desk you will be responsible for sourcing Change and IT professionals within specific sectors whilst developing new business with clients.

Responsibilities

  • All Recruiters at Oliver James operate in 360 roles, proactively headhunting candidates and developing and establishing new business relationships
  • The successful applicant will be focused on building a profitable desk within the financial services markets, working closely with the existing team, sharing information and contacts, and taking advantage of our extensive existing client base.
  • You will be responsible for achieving set targets.
  • Responsible for mentoring an Associate Consultant/Consultant/Senior Consultant within your team whilst holding key relationships across the desk
  • Responsible for developing a desk from scratch, sourcing candidates via headhunting, from junior to board level and matching them to suitable roles
  • Defining clients requirements whilst mapping out the organisational structure, the culture and clients annual growth plans
  • Networking with candidates and clients frequently, organising networking events and client presentations
  • Influencing candidates and clients to gather insightful information and conversing technically about the market
  • Cross selling other disciplines and incorporating other business areas into the relationships cultivated

Experience

  • As a Recruiter you must demonstrate that you are a proven business developer and net worker, with an appetite for mentoring and developing others
